Indian startup builds low-cost home robot for elderly care

A Bengaluru‑based startup “Safira Robotics” has unveiled “Aasha,” a budget home-care robot with tele‑medicine, fall detection, medication reminders and voice‑based companionship for elderly users. Priced at ₹35,000, it has already sold out its first 500 units. The company is scaling production to meet demand within South Asia. Moreover, Aasha integrates regional language support and emergency alert services to family caregivers.
